Yellow light is effective for skin rejuvenation procedures
bringing out youthful radiance and reversing the aging process.
Yellow light is attracted to red and brown pigments called
chromophores. The red pigments are the blue and red blood
vessels and the redness we develop on our skin with aging and
chronic sun damage. The brown pigments in the skin are excess
melanin also the result of sun damage and aging skin.
Aged skin is characterized by a thinning of the dermis with
diminished collagen, elastin and ground substance, manifesting
as fine wrinkles, rough texture and laxity. At the same time,
there is a proliferation of chromophores hemoglobin and melanin,
giving us redness, broken capillaries and old age spots and
brown discoloration.
The revolutionary yelomöd material uses the same yellow light
we use in the clinic, but harnesses that light from the sun. The
yelomöd shirts and hats deliver that high intensity yellow light
from the sun which binds to brown, red and blue pigments in our
skin, generating the specific targeted heat in the chromophores
that results in gradual lessening of the discoloration. This
happens together with a generalized increase in dermal collagen
and improvement in fine lines and texture of the skin.

blumöd material is treated with a proprietary 'fluorescent
blue pigment system'on one side that amplifies the sun's
naturally occurring blue light. UV is captured by the
fluorescent pigments and converted from the UV range - 300-400
nm - into the blue range.
The blumöd material also selectively transmits existing blue
and infrared rays from the sun and delivers these rays to the
skin.
The result is a high level of blue light delivered to the
skin along with significant levels of infrared rays also
reaching the skin.
Blue light is proven to be effective in eradicating acne
causing bacteria.
Blue light interacts with porphyrin from the bacteria and
naturally occurring oxygen to produce a singlet oxygen which is
lethal to the bacteria - this is an example of Photo-Dynamic
